20 years of making an impact
We are thrilled to celebrate a significant milestone for one of our Tamworth Recycling team members– Nicholas’s 20-year anniversary with Challenge Community Services!
Nick joined our Tamworth-based Business Services team in 2004, when he was looking for a career option that would allow him to work and earn his own money, but still provide him with some of the supports he needs. Over the years, Nick has become an invaluable member of the recycling team and one of the friendliest faces in Tamworth.
Nicholas’s work has made an incredible impact, helping to divert 160,000 tonnes of recycling away from landfill, to be recycled into new environmentally friendly products. That’s enough to fill approximately 64 Olympic-sized swimming pools! When he’s not busy helping to save the environment, you can find him delivering our inter-office mail, always with a smile and a good story to share.
We’re really proud to have Nicholas as part of our team, and we’re excited to present him with a certificate to thank him for his great work.
What is supported employment?
Supported Employment programs provide additional assistance to place people into roles that they love doing. At Challenge Community Services, we are committed to providing meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities across the North West and Upper Hunter regions of New South Wales. Our businesses, like the Tamworth recycling team, play a crucial role in empowering individuals and fostering inclusive communities, through supported employment opportunities just like Nick’s.
