Challenge Community Services offers a range of allied health therapies and mental health services to help individuals, families and children achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. Our therapeutic support services are designed to help individuals improve their mental and emotional well-being through tailored support from qualified and experienced practitioners.

Our interdisciplinary team provides a range of therapies such as behaviour support, individual counselling and therapy, assessments and more to assist you in removing barriers and reaching your full potential.

Our experienced team provides a range of services designed to help you achieve your personal goals and improve your overall well-being.
Depending on your circumstances, these services may be accessed through Medicare under a Mental Health Care Plan or through NDIS funding as part of your plan. For those seeking flexibility, we also offer convenient fee-for-service options.

Our therapeutic support practitioners serve multiple locations across New South Wales, including Tamworth, Maitland, Armidale, Narrabri, Tuggerah, and Sydney. We understand the challenges of travelling in regional areas, so we also visit various locations within these regions. Additionally, some services are available via telehealth to ensure accessible care.

Yes, we are a registered provider with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which means our services are officially approved and funded by the NDIS. This ensures that our services meet the required standards and are available to eligible participants.
Yes, we are a Medicare provider however Medicare does not pay for everything. Medicare covers a portion of the cost to attend allied health services and then we apply a ‘gap’ fee. This is the difference between Medicare’s contribution and our charge.
Yes, private health insurance can cover counselling and therapy, but the extent of coverage depends on the level of extras or ancillary cover in your policy. Always check the details of your extras cover to understand the level of support available for therapy services.
We understand that sometimes it’s difficult to visit in person, which is why we offer telehealth appointments. Telehealth allows you to have your appointment with us from the comfort of your own home or any location that’s convenient for you. Telehealth is a way of conducting your healthcare appointments remotely, using a phone, tablet, or computer. You’ll connect with us through a secure video call or over the phone, just like you would in person.

We understand that having a therapist you feel comfortable with is important. That’s why we give you the option to choose your therapist.

  • Choose your therapist: You can select from our team of qualified therapists based on your preferences or specific needs and let us know.
  • Subject to capacity: While we try to accommodate your preference, please note that availability may vary depending on the therapist’s schedule and current capacity.
  • If your preferred therapist is unavailable, we can work with you to find an alternative therapist who suits your needs and schedule.

You don’t need a referral to access our services. We believe in making it as easy as possible for you to get the support you need.
