It’s an annual art competition run by Challenge Community Services and invites people with disabilities, those in care of a disability services provider, as well as children and young people in Out of Home Care, to unleash their creativity and express themselves through art.  

18 years. It’s evolved over the years and is now a fully online competition, which opens up entry to people from across Australia.

This year’s theme is ‘My Happy Place’, and we want you to show us where you feel happiest! It could be a real or imagined place that brings comfort, joy or peace. We want to see your version of happiness through your art.

The competition is open to Australian residents who are:

A) A person with disability in the care of a disability provider

B) A child or young person in Foster Care/Out of Home Care

Eligible individuals can create a piece of artwork using the campaign theme ‘My Happy Place’ for inspiration. The artwork can take any format that can be reasonably photographed or submitted digitally including a drawing, painting, photo or sculpture.

Next step is filling out the form above and uploading a photo of your entry.

Entrants under 18 must have parent/guardian/carer approval to enter.

No, this is an online competition.

Yes, there is a limit of one entry per eligible person.

A judging panel will award a $200 Eftpos Gift Card to a winner from each category.

An online vote will also determine the People’s Choice Awards which are also $200 Eftpos Gift Card per category.

One online voter in our competition will win a $200 Eftpos Gift Card.

All accepted entries will be eligible for the People’s Choice Awards. Online voting will be via a link on the Challenge Community Services website from 9am Monday 27 October. One vote per category per person is permitted.

You can enter any artwork that can be uploaded as a JPEG, PNG or PDF file.

Yes, we welcome entries from people with disability or in Foster Care with other service providers.

Yes, you can! This competition is open to anyone with a disability in Australia.

We ask for a service provider in the entry form to verify that you meet the criteria for entry. This service provider can be any disability provider, medical professional, support worker or service that you regularly engage with. We will only contact your elected service provider if you are shortlisted as a winner.
