What is Supported Employment?

Many people living with a disability in Australia face barriers that make it difficult for them to enter the workforce. Like the name suggests, Supported Employment programs provide additional assistance to place people into roles that they love doing. At Challenge Business Services, we believe that everyone has potential, and can bring their own unique qualities to the workplace.

Joining the workforce can have many positive benefits – and not just because you’ll be making your own money. Working provides an opportunity to learn new skills, expand your social connections and build your self-confidence as you set goals and conquer them. It’s a great pathway to becoming more independent while providing goods and services to the community. Even if you aren’t sure where to start, we’re here to guide you in the right direction.

All you need to get started is an NDIS package that includes employment supports. For more information this, check the NDIS website.

No Experience? No Problem!

Don’t be discouraged if you’ve never been in the workforce before, or undertaken any workplace training. Part of our supported employment programs include all the training and guidance you’ll need to carry out the duties required. We guide our employees through safety tickets, equipment operating procedures, white cards and licensing. These are all nationally recognised skills that will help you build on your career.
The only thing you need to bring is a willingness to learn, and we’ll provide the rest.
