Raising Awareness and Building Support: Our Foster Care Teams in Action

Three foster care staff in pink shirts are smiling at the camera and standing underneath a pink gazebo.

Have you seen our foster care teams out and about lately?

They’ve been busy meeting communities across New South Wales and raising awareness about the dire need for more foster carers. Their dedication to spreading the word and connecting with potential carers is making a significant impact to the lives of young people across the state.

The Carer Compliance Team at Challenge Community Services plays a pivotal role in our mission to support vulnerable children in care. They work tirelessly to recruit, train, authorise, and support foster carers, ensuring that each new carer is well-prepared and supported in their vital role. This team is an essential part of our Out of Home Care (OOHC) services, striving to create a nurturing and stable environment for children in need.

When children are supported by great foster carers, they can leave uncertainty behind and thrive. Our foster carers provide not just a safe home, but also the love, care, and stability that these children need to flourish. We are committed to supporting our carers every step of the way, from the initial stages of recruitment through to ongoing training and assistance.
