SIL Vacancy in Coffs Harbour Female Shared Home

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS support program where you can live with other people who also require some support, or on your own. Our friendly and qualified team members will be available to help you with everyday tasks like cooking, housework, and personal care. Each group of housemates is carefully selected to ensure a great mix, so you’ll be able to enjoy making new friends and socialising while developing your independence. We are here to support you in achieving your goals and living the life you want. Therefore, each house has slightly different programs to suit the residents and their individual needs.

Nice modern house in a quiet, newly established area of Coffs Harbour. Vacant bedroom at the front of the house next to the bathroom. The home has two living areas, so clients can access their own space plus a covered back patio/BBQ area. Coffs shops and beaches are approximately 5-7 km, accessible by public transport (bus). Coffs is a beautiful growing area with loads of activities, lovely beaches and great weather.

There are currently 2 vacancies available at this property, suited to middle-aged females with mild-moderate disabilities and/or mental health support needs. The driveway is a little steep, so mobility may be an issue.

The current resident is a female in her 40s. She loves to cook and bring exotic flavours to the home, and she also enjoys walking and has some great local walking routes to keep fit. Your roommate is looking forward to starting a new veggie garden as she enjoys cooking vegetarian meals.

Challenge will provide you with 24/7 support staff, including overnight sleepovers or active support. Our staff are committed to providing you with a high level of support to develop and build life skills, including personal care, budgeting, shopping, cooking, maintaining the living environment, and social skills. We will encourage you to be active in the local community.
To live in this home, you must have NDIS funding for Supported Independent Living. Challenge residential fees include your rent, food, utilities, home maintenance, internet access, basic Foxtel, communal appliances, and communal area furniture.
