Challenge Community Services provide safe, supportive homes for people living with high support needs. Our goal is to help you learn to live independently within a shared home, learn life skills make new friends and share in everyday experiences.
If you have a disability and you are unable to live independently, Supported Independent Living (SIL) could be the right choice for you.
Our homes have 4 to 5 bedrooms. You will have your own room en suite bathroom and private lounge plus a shared kitchen, living area and laundry. You will be matched with people of about your age and similar interests. Plus the support of Challenge Disability Services experienced and trained staff, with skills in:
- First Aid
- Personal care
- Social inclusion
- Medical and day-to-day needs such as banking, attending appointments, preparing meals, washing, cleaning and shopping.
Making friends and doing things together is an important part of living in the home you share. Your family and friends can visit you or come along to activities including:
- Shopping excursions
- Outings to the park
- Visits to the library and other local attractions
- Gardening, cooking and crafts.
Challenge Disability Services has residential homes around NSW and South East QLD, and are quickly expanding with more.
