Sophie is a Social Worker and Behaviour Support Practitioner who joined the Maitland team at Challenge Allied Health in August 2023.
Sophie has a background in disability, child protection, foster care, and acute child and adolescent mental health. Since working at Challenge, Sophie has expressed her pleasure of meeting, supporting, and working with some incredible people. Sophie shares how this role has shown her the amazing ability individuals have no matter their age, background, or disability.
Sophie grew up in Central West NSW on a property which has been in her family for generations before moving to Newcastle to study Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) and travelled Australia in 2023 after graduating from university.
