Sally began her career in supporting community members with severe and persistent mental health problems in a strength-based, goal-oriented way. She then moved into the school setting, providing assessment, individual counselling, and supported school wellbeing in a holistic way.
Since joining the Challenge Community Services Allied Health team in Tuggerah in 2018, she has used her wealth of experience in these settings to move into the foster care and disability sectors. Providing quality behaviour support and intervention to families, as well as trauma-informed therapeutic intervention for kids and adults alike. With extensive experience providing support that aligns with the NDIS (including the Restrictive Practice panels).
Sally practices within such therapeutic models as Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and many others. With many of her clients utilising Medicare to support their treatment. Sally acknowledges that through utilising different treatment modalities, she can individualise her client’s treatment for the best outcomes. She also utilises various cognitive, memory, and academic performance assessments to support diagnosis and intervention of her clients (Including the WAIS-4, WISC-3, WIAT-3, WMS).
Her passion is walking alongside people on their journey to better mental health. She also loves hanging out with her family and going on bushwalks or getting stuck into a good book (especially if it has dragons in it).
