Meet Amina Khalid

Amina is a registered Psychologist and an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner who is based in our Brisbane office. Amina specialises in parenting and childcare interventions, specifically working with the caregiving and support staff of children experiencing complex behavioural and emotional issues, psychometric assessment and capacity building training. Amina has 11 years of working experience in the field of mental health in diverse settings such as private and public hospitals, rehabs, community settings, schools and residential care facilities with people of age range between 4 to 65 years of age.

Amina completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Queensland in 2023. She has also done her master’s in clinical psychology and an Hons in Applied Psychology.  Besides working for Challenge, Amina also teaches at the University of Queensland to both the Bachelor’s students and Master’s of clinical and counselling psychology for the last 4 years.

Other than work, Amina’s interests include cooking her favourite food, planting more plants in the house until it turns into an Amazon rainforest, spending time with her family, along with two furry babies and reading books.
