SIL Vacancy in Oran Park Male Shared Home

If you have an intellectual, physical or psychosocial disability and you are unable to live independently, Supported Independent Living (SIL) could be the right choice for you.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS support where you can live with other people with a disability or on your own. You will also receive support with everyday tasks like cleaning, cooking and personal care.

This well maintained three-bedroom home features a modern open-plan kitchen, living and dining and covered outdoor entertaining area. This home offers shared independent living with 24/7 support and is situated in a prime position within Oran Park close to local parks, transport, doctors, and an upcoming aquatics centre.

About the Vacancy

This vacancy is ideal for a male who enjoys their own space, while also appreciating the company and social interactions of other clients.

This house is staffed by trained Mental Health Support Workers and the ideal client will preferably have a psychosocial disability.

The current house members are males aged between 20 and 28 and are supported by Challenge at home and in the community.

The level of support provided includes 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 2:3 depending on the client Roster of Care.

Support and Funding

Challenge provides 24/7 support staff, including overnight sleepover or active support. Our staff are committed to providing the house members with a high level of support to develop and build life skills including personal care, budgeting, shopping, cooking, maintaining the living environment and social skills. All house members are encouraged to be active in the local community.

Applicants must have NDIS funding for Supported Independent Living. Challenge residential fees include rent, food, utilities, home maintenance, internet access, basic streaming service, communal appliances and communal area furniture.
