Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS support program where you can live with other people who also require some support, or on your own. Our friendly and qualified team members will be available to help you with everyday tasks like cooking, housework, and personal care. Each group of housemates is carefully selected to ensure a great mix, so you’ll be able to enjoy making new friends and socialising while developing your independence. We are here to support you in achieving your goals and living the life you want. Therefore, each house has slightly different programs to suit the residents and their individual needs.
About the Home:
The home is in a quiet cul-de-sac in a safe and family-friendly suburb. It is close to medical centres, shops, and sporting facilities, and is just a short drive from the Tamworth CBD
The home features the following:
- 3 client bedrooms, all with built-ins
- Formal lounge & huge open tiled family/dining area
- Separate TV room to provide all housemates with their own space
- Modern kitchen with dishwasher, pantry & lots of cupboard space
- Three-way bathroom with separate toilet, ducted cooling and gas connections for winter
- Covered alfresco area with automatic blinds & ceiling fan
- Great enclosed backyard with easy care landscaping in both front & back
- Double lock up garage with remote & internal access.

This welcoming home is shared by three lovely ladies aged from their mid-50s to mid-70s, each bringing warmth and charm to the space. They enjoy a variety of activities, including community outings, painting their nails, playing with blocks, watching TV, and collecting beads. They also love attending community events, adding a lively and social element to their days.

Your Support and Funding
Challenge will provide you with 24/7 support staff, including overnight sleepovers or active support. Our staff are committed to providing you with a high level of support to develop and build life skills, including personal care, budgeting, shopping, cooking, maintaining the living environment, and social skills. We will encourage you to be active in the local community.
To live in this home, you must have NDIS funding for Supported Independent Living. Challenge residential fees include your rent, food, utilities, home maintenance, internet access, basic Foxtel, communal appliances, and communal area furniture.
