Date: Friday August 25 2017
Time: 10:00am – 3:00pm
Location: Club Taree 121 Wingham Road, Taree, NSW

The Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training program presents a trauma informed crisis prevention and intervention model designed to teach carers how to help children and young people learn constructive ways to handle crisis and to regulate stressful feelings of hurt, failure, frustration and anger.

The training will aim to provide carers with the skills and knowledge to become the catalyst through which the young person changes old habits, destructive responses and maladaptive behaviour patterns. You will gain an understanding of positive, therapeutic, practical and proven methods for managing young people in crisis.

The training is a four day program running on Friday August 4, Friday August 11, Friday August 18 and Friday August 25.

The program will involve attendees participating in role plays and group activities. Full attendance at all four days is required to be issued a Certificate of Participation. At the conclusion of the third day a written assessment and a Life Space Interview role play will be completed.
