CARE Community of Practice: Developmentally Focused

May 20 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Development in Foster Care

Join Our CARE Community of Practice focusing on the “Developmentally Focused” principle within the CARE model.

Children do well if they can. If they can’t, we need to figure out why so we can help.’ – Ross Greene

This session aims to deepen our understanding and application of strategies that align with children’s developmental stages, ensuring our interventions are both effective and supportive.

What is a Community of Practice?

A Community of Practice brings together individuals who share a common interest to exchange experiences, address challenges, and build collective knowledge. In this session, we will focus on:

1. Introduction to the Developmentally Focused Principle:

  • Overview of its significance in the CARE model.
  • Discussion on how developmentally appropriate strategies enhance child outcomes.

2. Practical Applications:

  • Sharing of tools and techniques to assess and support children’s developmental needs.

3. Collaborative Discussion:

  • Open forum for participants to share experiences, challenges, and solutions.
  • Exploration of resources and supports available to practitioners and carers.

Your insights and experiences are invaluable to this discussion. We encourage you to come prepared to share your perspectives and learn from your peers.
