The Challenge Community Services Allied Health team consists of compassionate and skilled allied health professionals, supported by friendly and professional administration staff.
Our staff are well supported to prioritise best practices and maintain an outcome-based service delivery that makes significant and positive improvements to our client’s health and well-being.

Kylie Boyraz Bio
Kylie is the Executive Director of the Challenge Allied Health team. Kylie joined Challenge in 2015 and is based at Tamworth where she grew up and spent the first 18 years of her life.
Kylie graduated from The Australian Catholic University at Sydney in 1993 and holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree majoring in Habilitation - supporting individuals with disabilities attain, keep, or improve skills and functioning for daily living.
Kylie is a registered Behaviour Support Practitioner with the Quality Safeguards Commission and holds a Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment and a diploma in Family Dispute Resolution. She is an accredited Mediator and a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with over 15 years’ experience.
Kylie approaches her work from a therapeutic and trauma-informed lens. She enjoys getting to know the individual and or their family circumstances and takes the time to understand the narrative.
Kylie is family orientated and has a Border Collie dog named Rozie who she walks every day. She loves travel and immersing herself in other cultures. She spent 10 years living and working in Turkey. she speaks Turkish well, although she won’t be a Turkish radio announcer anytime soon.
Anne Randall Bio
Anne Randall is a Clinical Supervisor & Team Leader with Challenge Allied Health in Tamworth. Anne is a Senior Psychologist with an endorsement in Educational & Developmental Psychology and a DCJ Independent Specialist with NSW Restrictive Practice Authorisation. She has worked in various clinical settings including not for profit organisations, private practice and schools. Anne currently works with moderate to complex presentations in people across the lifespan, and supervises clinical staff who provide support to clients.
Anne has a keen interest in child psychology, social psychology and mental health. Anne relocated from the big smoke many years ago and believes the only thing missing from the country is the beach.
Brooke Gardner Bio
Brooke is a Registered Psychologist, NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner and Medicare Provider based in our Camden office. Brooke specialises in complex trauma, individual counselling, carer support, behaviour support and psychometric assessments. In her role, Brooke works alongside individuals of all ages and abilities to ensure positive mental health and wellbeing, with a particular interest in early intervention, capacity building, and development of daily living skills. Brooke is well known for her ability to connect with an individual’s entire care team, ensuring a multi-disciplinary approach to mental health is captured.
Brooke graduated from Macquarie University in 2020 and completed the 4+2 Provisional Psychology pathway at Challenge Allied Health. Brooke has transitioned through many roles within Challenge Community Services and has recently commenced her position as Allied Health Team Leader.
Brooke found her passion for supporting mental health and human behaviour during her adolescence and has always admired learning about ways to create positive change within society. When she is not at work, Brooke enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, taking her dog to the beach, and cooking.
Fun fact - Brooke has travelled to 27 different countries in her lifetime (and hopefully still counting).
Renae Wye Bio
Renae has been apart of our Tuggerah Allied Health team since 2017. Renae is a Registered Psychologist who specialises in Complex Trauma and has significant experience supporting families in the out of home Care system. Renae also has a special interest in men’s health and has been effective in providing individual counselling to men. Renae is passionate about making her clients feel truly understood and empowering them to improve their quality of life. Renae uses a mix of evidence-based interventions, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy which resonates with Renae due to its focus on self-compassion, self-awareness, and commitment to personal values. She is currently building her skills in couples therapy and enjoys working with couples.
Renae spends her free time with her husband, two young boys and German Shepherd x Husky. She enjoys cooking and entertaining, the beach, camping, and live music.
Kimberly Tufrey Bio
Kimberly joined Challenge Allied Health in 2017 and is based between our East Maitland and Tuggerah offices. Kimberly is a Clinical Psychologist who specialises in working with complex mental health, trauma, and neurodevelopmental disorders. She has skills in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological issues across the lifespan. She routinely performs cognitive and achievement assessments, and uses an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing on principles from frameworks such as CBT, ACT, DBT, IPT, and narrative therapy.
Kimberly is a NDIS registered Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner and registered Medicare Provider. Kimberly is a team leader for the Hunter and Central Coast Allied Health teams, while also maintaining her own clinical caseload.
Outside of work she enjoys fitness, socialising, playing Tabletop RPGs and board games, reading, painting, learning to sew, and attending loud rock concerts. Her claim to fame was running a marathon that one time (and never again)!
Helen Anglias Bio
Helen joined the Challenge Allied Health team in 2015 and is based at our Tuggerah office also providing outreach services Maitland and Hunter region. Helen is a Registered Psychologist and Behaviour Support Practitioner with over 40 years’ experience working with children and people with disabilities, as well as their families and carers. Her current focus and expertise is working with people with autism, with a specific interest of working with people with autism who have experienced trauma.
Helen has 2 dogs who ensure she switches off from work immediately when she gets home. Helen also enjoys world travel and spending time with her family.
Estelle Perry Bio
Estelle is a Psychologist who started at Challenge Community Services in July 2024. Estelle completed her degree in Psychology at Macquarie University in 2016, and has been practicing in the field since 2017. She has experience working with many different presentation types, from anxiety and depression, to Borderline Personality Disorder with self-harm and suicide, to supporting someone through stressful life events and homelessness. She enjoys working with children, young people, and adults. Estelle loves to get to know the person and help them explore and understand themselves and others around them to help the person achieve their goals and enjoy their life more. She takes a non-judgemental and gentle approach wherever possible and aims to provide a light-hearted approach to therapy, incorporating humour and visuals. Estelle understands that there is no “one size fits all” for therapy and enjoys applying interventions in a flexible way to create the most effective strategies for her clients as she can. Estelle has experience in a range of different interventions, and while her current favourite is Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, she is currently learning about family therapy and how critical it is to explore all aspects of a child’s and a caregiver’s life in order to help them achieve their goals and create lasting change.
Outside of work, she enjoys knitting, crochet, singing, painting, and video games. Estelle has a running joke with child clients where she will slip in references to how much she loves spaghetti wherever possible, and she LOVES terrible puns.
Yolanda Foy Bio
Yolanda began her journey with Challenge Allied Health in our Camden Office as a provisional psychologist and behaviour support practitioner in 2021. Working with children and young people in OOHC, along with NDIS participants across the lifespan, Yolanda provides a range of supports including counselling, indivdiual therapy, behaviour support and psychometric assessments.
Yolanda is a strong believer that rapport is a fundamental aspect when supporting clients to achieve their goals. Yolanda adopts an empathetic and non-judgemental approach and strives to create a space where her clients feel heard and connected.
Chasing the sun, Yolanda relocated from Sydney to Brisbane at the end of 2022 and supported Challenge Allied Health with expanding to South East Queensland. She obtained her general registration as a psychologist in October 2023.
Outside the office, Yolanda loves travelling and celebrating the small things in life. She enjoys spending time with her loved ones, reading, listening to good music, and most importantly, coffee
Danielle Moore Bio
Danielle joined the Tamworth team at Challenge Allied Health in October 2018. Danielle is a registered psychologist and behaviour support practitioner who works across the lifespan. She has experience working with a variety of mental health presentations, children in out of home care, individuals living with disabilities, Medicare clients, and developing positive behaviour support plans.
Danielle is trained in psychometric and functional assessments, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule 2nd Edition (ADOS-2), Wechsler Intelligence Scales, Vineland Adaptive Behaviour Scales, among others.
All things guinea pigs, Lego and chocolate are what Danielle enjoys.
Ruth Brennan Bio
Ruth is a Registered Psychologist and has been working with Challenge Allied Health since November 2021. Ruth has a Bachelor of Business Management/Social Science (Psychology), as well as a Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology. Ruth is currently completing her internship at Challenge Allied Health and working towards gaining her general registration as a Psychologist.
Ruth has a background of working with young people in the mental health space. During her time with Challenge Allied Health, Ruth has been providing supports to her clients in the areas of individual counselling, behaviour support and plan development (including restrictive practices), diagnosing and assessments.
Outside of work Ruth enjoys spending time with her dog, going for walks, or reading a good book.
Amina Khalid Bio
Amina is Provisional Psychologist, NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner based in our Brisbane office. Amina specialises in parenting and childcare interventions; specifically working with the caregiving and support staff of children experiencing complex behavioural and emotional issues, psychometric assessment and capacity building training. Amina has 10 years of working experience in the field of mental health in diverse settings such as private and public hospital, rehabs, community settings, schools and residential care facilities with people of age range between 4 to 65 years of age.
Amina completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Queensland in 2023, she has also done her master’s in clinical psychology and Hons in Applied Psychology
Besides working for Challenge, Amina also teaches at the University of Queensland both to the Bachelors’ students and Masters of clinical and counselling psychology for the last 3 years.
Other than work, Amina’s interests include cooking her ethnic food, planting more plants in the house until it turns into an amazon rainforest, spending time with her family along with two furry babies and reading books.
Amy Bartlett Bio
Amy joined Tamworth Challenge Allied Health team in February 2020 and is a provisional psychologist in the final stages of completing her internship. Amy is also a NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner. She works with our clients across the lifespan to offer therapeutic counselling, psychological assessments and behaviour support services. Amy has a special interest in ADHD. She enjoys providing psychoeducation on ADHD, helping individuals with the diagnosis to maximize their strengths and learn more about their difficulties to help tailor strategies to their needs.
Amy enjoys getting out in nature, off the beaten path, whenever she is able to do so.
Kim Forster Bio
Kim joined the Challenge Allied Health team in Tamworth as a Social Worker and Behaviour Support Practitioner in February 2024. She recently graduated with from Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Social Work.
Kim takes a strengths-based and empowerment approach when working with clients towards achieving their goals and aspirations. Kim has worked with children and adolescents for many years in Australia and overseas. Kim likes cats, art and coffee shops.
Emilee Nobbs Bio
Emilee is a Social Worker who started with Challenge Allied Health February 2024 in Brisbane. Emilee brings a soft empathetic and non-judgemental approach when supporting her clients. Emilee is passionate about helping people achieve their goals as well as celebrating strengths and achievements along the way. Emilee feels privileged to be able to provide support to individuals and their families through her work at Challenge Community Services.
Emilee studied a Bachelor of Social Work at Griffith University and graduated at the end of 2021 and has a history of working with Children and Youth (specifically counselling Youth with mild to moderate mental health concerns). Emilee enjoys connecting with people and this is a pivotal aspect of her practice. Emilee believes this achieves long lasting results for recovery, so if you see her around, please feel free to stop and have a chat!
Outside of work Emilee enjoys writing songs, spending time with her friends and family, watching tv shows and movies and getting out in nature.
A fun fact about Emilee is that before commencing her university studies, she did singing professionally and made it to the top 100 contestants on The Voice Kids Australia and top 27 on The Xfactor Australia.
Georgina Purcell Bio
Georgina commenced her role with Challenge Allied Health as a Social Worker and Behaviour Support Practitioner in 2023 based at our Armidale office. Georgina also travels to Tamworth weekly to provide outreach services to clients. In her role she works with young people in out of home care and NDIS clients across the lifespan. She engages in behaviour support interventions and plan development (including restrictive practices) to establish strategies for her clients to assist and manage problematic thoughts and behaviours. Her role sometimes involves ensuring the voice and rights of the child is heard especially during Mediation with families that have separated. She provides counselling and therapy, assessments and reports, mediation facilitation and training, therapeutic interventions, and advocacy.
Georgina’s background in Social Work includes roles in the housing and homelessness sectors, family violence, child protection and mental health services from both training and counselling roles. She has worked as a caseworker in justice services and has supported general practitioners in health through a variety of health programs and advocacy.
Outside of work Georgina enjoys reading, gardening, music, arts/crafts, cooking, her dog Taj who enjoys “taking me on walks”, travelling (whenever I can), and being a couch potato!
Fun fact – “I once survived a trip from Port Moresby to Mt Hagen in a small plane which would drop its heights faster and deeper than the Big Dipper for the entire duration of the journey – she was the only one who wasn’t sick at the end!
Patricha Stapleton Bio
Patricha (Trish) is a proud Kamilaroi women, Social Worker and Behaviour Support Practitioner on our Tuggerah team who started at Challenge in November 2023. Trish graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) from the University of Newcastle in 2023 and is now completing her Masters in Applied Behavioural Analysis. She previously worked as a Disability Support Worker for 5 years and has experience working with complex presentations. Trish provides an empathic person centred and strengths-based approach when supporting her clients. She is passionate about supporting people to reach their goals and believes everyone is unique in their own way.
Trish was also a Hairdresser for 20 years, and still enjoys occasionally working in the salon. In her free time Trish enjoys fishing, being outdoors & is a proud plant mum.
Kyah Williams Bio
Kyah joined the Challenge Allied Health team in November 2022 as a Social Worker and Behaviour Support Practitioner in Tamworth. Whilst completing her Bachelor of Social Work through University of New England she worked as a Disability Support Worker which has provided the opportunity to have deeper understanding on the particular struggles faced by those we support. Kyah’s current practice involves working within the disability and foster care space utilising person centered and strength-based approach.
Kyah works across the lifespan tailoring services to specific goals and needs to best support the people she works with. She enjoying travelling to provide outreach services to some of our clients in the Quirindi and Narrabri area. Kyah is a country music fan who enjoys camping and dining out.
Libby Wakeford Bio
Libby is a Social Worker and Behaviour Support Practitioner based in Tamworth. She graduated from the University of NSW with 1st Class Honours in Sociology and was conferred a Master of Social Work from Charles Sturt University in 2024. Libby has a background in social research, mental health prevention & early intervention, consumer and carer support and advocacy.
In her current role Libby works with NDIS and Foster Care clients to provide behaviour support planning and interventions, assessments and counselling that enhances resilience, wellbeing and quality of life.
She takes a holistic, person centred and collaborative approach to her work with clients and those who are important in their lives. Libby values the wisdom gained from lived experience alongside evidence-based interventions and has a strong commitment to trauma-informed practice, strengths based and empowerment approaches.
Libby upholds the social work values of respect for persons, social justice and professional integrity. Human rights, inclusivity and cultural respect are principles that guide her work.
Libby loves country life and wide open spaces. She keeps active by playing hockey and horse riding, but is equally talented at staying home, watching movies and listening to music. Fun fact: When she was a little bit younger, Libby used to play electric violin in a Sydney rock band.
Sehel Mahmood Bio
Sehel is a Social Worker and NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner based in our Camden office. Sehel specialises in behaviour support, carer support and individual counselling. She has a passion for helping people and brings a fun atmosphere ensuring that individuals are able to celebrate their strengths and achievements. Sehel comes from a CALD background and utilises this to connect with her clients through being open and accepting to everyone around her.
Sehel has a background in Early Education and Care which has allowed her to work closely with the Challenge Foster Care Team supporting the clients for behaviour support intervention and counselling.
Sehel graduated from University of Wollongong for both her Bachelor of Psychology in 2020 and Master in Social Work in 2022. When Sehel is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking with her friends, travelling and kickboxing.
Fun fact- Sehel is able to speak 4 languages and is working on more.
Samantha Butler Bio
Samantha (Sam) is a Social Worker and Behaviour Support Practitioner who joined Challenge Allied Health in August 2023 as part of our East Maitland team. Sam graduated with a degree in Social Work from the University of Newcastle in 2018 and moved into a role of supporting young people and their families who had been impacted by cancer. In her current role Sam works with young people in out of home care and NDIS clients across the lifespan providing behaviour support interventions and plan development (including restrictive practises) to establish strategies for her clients to assist and manage behaviours. Sam likes to keep curiosity, creativity, and humour as present as possible in her day-to-day practice and looks to be a compassionate bystander in the lives of those she supports in her role at Challenge. Outside of work you will find Sam spending time with her pets, listening to music, and playing video games.
Katherine McIntyre Bio
Katherine is a Social Worker and NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner based in our Ballina office, who joined our team in July 2022. Katherine graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2009. Since then, Katherine has worked within many settings, sectors and frameworks. Her background in the disability, community development and employment sectors specifically have enabled her to work with a wide range of people, supporting them to build lives full of meaning, creativity and connection.
Katherine specialises in behaviour support, counselling and working with families to build safety, connection and opportunities for growth for children, young people and adults. Katherine enjoys supporting individuals and families to grow in their wellbeing and their connection to themselves, loved ones and their community.
When she isn’t at work she improves on her video game skills, bakes scones and drinks coffee with her family.
Sophie Dent Bio
Sophie is a Social Worker and Behaviour Support Practitioner who joined the Maitland team at Challenge Allied Health in August 2023.
Sophie has a background in disability, child protection, foster care, and acute child and adolescent mental health. Since working at Challenge, Sophie has expressed her pleasure of meeting, supporting, and working with some incredible people. Sophie shares how this role has shown her the amazing ability individuals have no matter their age, background, or disability.
Sophie grew up in Central West NSW on a property which has been in her family for generations before moving to Newcastle to study Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) and travelled Australia in 2023 after graduating from university.
Lauren Casuscelli Bio
Lauren began her journey with Challenge in July of 2024. Lauren specialises in supporting individuals with a disability across all age groups and is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for clients through tailored behavioural interventions and support strategies. Committed to bringing her best to every client interaction, Lauren combines academic knowledge with a genuine passion for helping people to create positive and lasting impacts. As a behaviour support practitioner, Lauren is extremely dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals by offering genuine support and understanding. Lauren’s approach is centred around person-focused strategies, ensuring that each person’s unique needs and preferences guide her interventions. Lauren believes that by prioritising empathy and respect, she can help people achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in their lives.
When she is not at work, Lauren enjoys travelling, spending time with her family, playing sport, drinking coffee and going to the beach.
Fun Fact: Lauren was nominated for young Australian of the year and in 2018 won dual community group of the year for her charity Everyone Can Dance in the Camden and Campbelltown community.
Jessica Payne Green Bio
Jess is a Behaviour Support Practitioner who started at Challenge Allied Health in November 2023 in our Tuggerah office. Jess enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults to provide positive emotional and behavioural supports. Jess works in collaboration with her clients and those around them, to ensure best practices are being met with consistency to the values of Challenge.
Jess completed her Bachelor in Psychological Sciences and is currently completing the Honours Program to extend her growing knowledge within the field of psychology. She has previous experience working in a Public School as a School Learning Support Officer (SLSO) with varying abilities, including diagnosis in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
When Jess is not at work, she enjoys being outdoors, painting and walking her dog Audrey.
Nakita Yates Bio
Nakita is a Behaviour Support Practitioner who started at Challenge in November 2023 in East Maitland. Nakita is known by those around her as bubbly, a little bit goofy, and extremely passionate about bringing joy and happiness to others. Nakita graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2023 with a Bachelor of Psychological Science. In her role she works with young people in out of home care and NDIS clients across the lifespan providing behaviour support interventions and plan development (including restrictive practises) to establish strategies for her clients to assist and manage behaviours. Nakita has a professional background as a disability support worker and has experience working alongside clients who have complex mental and physical disabilities.
Fun fact about Nakita is that she has a pet Rainbow Lorikeet, called Mojo, that she and her partner hand-raised from the age of 6 weeks old.
Hanel Weidemann Bio
Hanel joined the Tamworth Challenge Allied Health team in August 2023 as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with an extensive background in the Education sector. She has worked for both locally and abroad and she prides herself in delivering trauma-informed practice and a person-centred approach.
Hanel is experienced in working with children and young people and out-of-home-care, culturally and linguistically diverse people, and the those in the disability sector. Her focus is to empower clients to achieve the best possible outcomes, work towards achieving their goals and enhance their quality of life. In her free time Hanel enjoys travelling the world to find the best cup of coffee!
Owen Atkins Bio
Owen joined Challenge in 2016 working as their Partners In Recovery facilitator in the Narrabri area. He previously managed PHAMs, Homelessness Services and AOD services in Narrabri, Hunter Region and Cabramatta. Owen has diploma qualifications in Case Management, Mental Health and AOD, Counselling and is also a trainer who has taught Disability and Community Services courses. He currently works for Challenge Community Services Allied Health in Narrabri and surrounds delivering Mental Health services as a Psycho-Social Recovery Coach under the NDIS.
The NDIS has recognised that psycho-social disabilities often require a different approach than the usual Coordination of Supports model, and Challenge Community Services sees this as an important role and function. For Owen, it is also an important means of inter-agency cooperation and developing wrap around service models that can sometimes be too elusive in NDIS delivery. "The excitement is in seeing someone become what they can be."
When he's not working, he's probably in the garden growing food, doing exercises (because he likes food) or reading something, anything. Books are doors to whole worlds of meaning and growth.
Nicola Phillips Bio
Nicola joined Challenge Community Services in 2017 as a HR Assistant on a temporary 6-month. She then joined the Allied Health Team in Tamworth in a permanent basis and hasn’t looked back since! She has completed her Certificate III in Business Administration and has 13 years of administrative experience across the Community Services, Mental Health and Legal sectors.
Challenge has been a wonderful and supportive place to work and given many opportunities for training, career growth and development. Outside of work Nicola enjoys dedicating time to family and friends, fitness and reading a good book. She also loves country music making Tamworth the perfect place to call home!
Taylah Brown Bio
Taylah has over 8 years of experience in the administration field, from working at an Orthodontic practice, a Strata Company before joining the team at Challenge Allied Health in 2019. Taylah completed her Certificate IV in Business Administration in 2015. Taylah has a love of being positive and making people feel happier within themselves.
Outside of work, Taylah enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading novels, playing board games, and going to the beach with her family of four (one being a fur baby).
Megan Fishbourne Bio
Megan commenced her employment with the Camden Allied Health team in August 2023, and joined the team with a wealth of Administration experience across a diverse range of industries. Megan’s roles and responsibilities include organising client appointments, developing service agreements, and intake of client referrals.
Megan is welcoming, friendly, and very much the mother of the team - keeping all staff organised and efficient. Megan is passionate about the community and giving back, devoting 16 years of her life to volunteering as an NSW Rural Fire Fighter and working as a Corrections Officer
.
Megan loves to meet new people and build meaningful connections, and she can’t wait to assist you when in need. On the weekends, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, bushwalking, and going out for dinner.
Fun Fact – Megan’s children were conceived via IVF with a doner from California, despite her never having left the country herself!
Lara Collings Bio
Lara is an outgoing individual who started at Challenge Allied Health in May 2023 in Tuggerah. Lara has experience working in administration, community pharmacy and at a local educational bookshop. Lara completed her Bachelor of Business Administration at Macquarie University in 2023 and hopes to utilise her academic and hands on skills within her role.
Lara is part of the admin team in Tuggerah and first point of contact for telephone enquiries and appointments. Lara appreciates teamwork and collaboration – participating in team sports and Pilates in her spare time. She also enjoys experiencing live music with her friends and spending quality time with her family.
We offer services in cities as well as rural communities in New South Wales from Sydney to Narrabri, including Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle, Maitland, Tamworth, and the Upper Hunter.
